Description
The AS 940 Sherpa 4WD XL B&S is a powerful, robust ride-on mower designed for demanding mowing tasks on slopes, tough terrain and high grass. Fitted with a Briggs & Stratton 2-cylinder 724 cc engine delivering up to 27 hp, this machine combines all-wheel drive traction, a low centre of gravity and XL tyres for exceptional stability and control — even on steep gradients.
Its permanent 4WD hydrostatic transmission allows smooth variable speed control and confident uphill & downhill performance. A single lever controls drive, braking and parking for intuitive operation. While the limited slip differential maximises traction in challenging conditions.
The 90 cm wide mower deck featuring AS cross-blade technology gives excellent cutting and mulching performance, shredding grass down and depositing clippings safely between the wheels — ideal for wet or sloped terrain. Cutting height is easily adjustable across multiple levels. An optional mulch kit offers finer clippings.
Built on a durable tubular frame, the Sherpa XL is comfortable for long workdays, with a length-adjustable sprung seat that accommodates taller operators. Thoughtful safety features like folding bars and branch deflectors, plus integrated lashing points for transport, make it a practical, heavy-duty choice for professional landscapers and serious homeowners alike.
